Bigger systems now get the upfront discount

From 1 October 2026, solar systems from 100 kW up to 1 MW can create small-scale certificates (STCs) upfront, the same way home solar does.

Choosing STCs rules out other certificates for the same period, so it is worth getting right. Approved components and accredited installation are required. Source: Clean Energy Regulator, checked 1 November 2026.

Sized to your site, not your roof

A commercial system pays back fastest when most of its output is used on site. We start with your interval meter data to see when you use power, then size the system to that load.

Export limits matter too. Larger systems usually need distributor approval and may be limited in what they can send to the grid. We prepare and lodge the application.

Leased building?

Many commercial roofs are leased. Solar can still work: the owner can install and sell power to the tenant, or the tenant can install with the owner’s consent.

We help both sides understand the options before anyone commits.

Straight answers

Ask us anything else. If it is not worth doing, we will say so.

Ask us a question

Can my business claim STCs on a 300 kW system?

From 1 October 2026, yes, if the system meets the scheme’s rules. Systems from 100 kW to 1 MW can now choose upfront STCs with a fixed five-year deeming period. We work through the choice with you.

How long does network approval take?

It depends on your distributor and the system size. We give you a realistic timeline in the proposal.

Do you install solar for strata buildings?

Yes, for common-area power such as lifts, lighting and car parks. Owners corporation approval comes first.

Can you work around trading hours?

Tell us your constraints at the site walk and we will plan the work around them.
