ESA or Lynx?

Both are GoodWe, built for different jobs.

GoodWe ESA

Inverter and battery in one sealed unit, rated for indoor or outdoor install. Battery modules of 5 or 8 kWh stack up to 48 kWh, with backup for the whole home, up to 63 A, without extra hardware.

Lynx Home battery

Stackable modules that pair with a GoodWe hybrid inverter. A good option if you already have one, or want the inverter and battery separate.

Already have GoodWe?

Many GoodWe hybrid inverters can take a Lynx battery. Solar-only models need replacing first. We check the model on your inverter label.

Whole-home backup, honestly

Whole-home backup sounds simple. In practice it depends on your supply, your switchboard and big loads like ducted air con or an EV charger.

We look at all three and tell you, in writing, what will run in a blackout.

Can the GoodWe ESA go outside?

Yes. It is a sealed unit rated for outdoor install, so it can go on a side wall instead of in the garage. We still keep it out of direct afternoon sun where we can.

How big can a GoodWe ESA get?

Modules of 5 or 8 kWh stack to 48 kWh in one unit. Most homes need far less, and the federal discount reduces above 14 kWh.

What warranty does GoodWe offer?

Ten years on the battery, with conditions. You get the warranty document with your quote.

How much does a GoodWe battery cost installed?

It depends on the size, single or three phase, backup and your switchboard. You get one written price with the federal discount already taken off.
